Weâve always talked about how Korean dramas use a lot of cliches and all. In fact, This is not the first time we will be talking about or highlighting them, and a lot of you agreed with me, right?
However, aside from cliches, there are some things we rarely talk about, and those things are things weâve actually never seen in a K-Drama, like they have never happened since the inception of Korean drama.
Care to know what these things are? Then you want to read this to the end.
I know you agreed with me on this point because it is totally right. I mean, he has featured in a lot of series ranging from the much loved âBoys Over Flowersâ to other series that include The Heirs, Legend of the Blue Sea, Personal Taste, and more, but this man has never played the role of a poor man struggling to survive. He would rather be the rich guy marrying a poor girl. Thatâs his own way.
Just like Lee Min Ho is known never to be poor, you will never find Kim So Hyun marrying a poor girl. He is our known Mr Cinderella who doesnât settle for less and does not have the time to be the rich one from It's Okay Not to Be Okay to Queen of Tears and others.
I have always acknowledged these two as the blockbuster kings of K-dramas. Thereâs no way they are in a drama, and it wonât be a hit. They just have that charisma that makes any series they feature in a hit. For Park Seo Jun, his role in Fight For My Way, WWW Secretary Kim, Itaewon Class, Gyeoseong Creature, etc, and how these series became a global sensation is evidence of this. He even went on to feature in a Hollywood movie. Kim Soo Hyun, on the other hand, already has enough evidence of being a hit drama king with his latest K-Drama feature, âQueen of Tears.â I am docking my cap for these two when it comes to good dramas.
Lee Dong Wook is hot and all that, thereâs no disputing that, however, I think he will look hotter as a high-schooler but I guess thatâs something we will never see because we all know how self-confident this handsome actor is and heâs probably not seeing himself going that way but we donât know what the future holds so I wonât assume just yet.
Although most actors are usually taller than their women, I think Rowoonâs own is a result of his incredible height. However, another thing I have noticed is that he is usually paired with much shorter women that it is hard for it not to become glaring. A very good example was his pairing with his âExtraordinary Youâ drama co-star â Kim Hye Yoon.â Like, did you see that height difference?
Although not compulsory, I hope to see the day these things will actually happen in K-dramas because it will be so much fun.
Indulge me in the comments; what other things have you never seen in a K-Drama and you are hoping to see soon?
