Three years later, another drama, "My Husband Got a Family," also became a massive hit with a 25-consecutive-week top rating and a whopping 52.3% viewership rating because of its relatable display of working women and family. In 2013, her fantasy work, "My Love from the Star," where an alien fell in love with a top actress, rocked the screen across different countries' borders. It influenced fashion trends and raised the exposure of the Korean fried chicken and beer combo (Chimaek) in China.

Her works have been a steady hit ever since then. "The Producers" (2015) took viewers into the behind-the-scenes of the entertainment industry with a sprinkle of comedy. She reunited with actress Jun Ji Hyun in 2016 for "The Legend of the Blue Sea" after the success of "My Love From the Stars." The drama tells the romantic fantasy between a mermaid and a con artist, and another over-the-roof rating was achieved following international success.
