If K-Pop Group Leaders Were Nigerian University Lecturers

If K-Pop Group Leaders Were Nigerian University Lecturers - featured image

Life as a Nigerian university student is full of “submit your assignment tomorrow or never” after a series of boring classes that require extra study for proper understanding. What if we have a semester where the rigid lecturers are replaced by the K-pop group leaders? Instead of people going about with the symbol of Nigeria’s hard economy and personal or family encounters on their foreheads, we have vibrant individuals with pure charisma and smile.

If these leaders were lecturers, here’s the course each would teach and how their lifestyle would shake up university culture:

RM (BTS)

Koreans As Nigerians

Kim Namjoon, famously known as RM, has the perfect aura for philosophy. With his deep reflections on identity, society, and art, he’d walk into class quoting Nietzsche and mixing it with lyrics. Unlike the Nigerian lecturers who might intimidate students into silence, RM would encourage open discussions, making students feel like intellectual equals. Students can finally have study groups who enjoy arguing with abstract theories rather than handouts’ word-for-word memorization.

G-Dragon (BIGBANG)

Koreans As Nigerians

Kwon Ji Yong, aka G-Dragon, is a walking art piece. As a lecturer in Fashion and Creative Expression, he’d throw out the old white shirt and black trousers Nigerian dress code and replace it with “express yourself.” Students would definitely never miss his class since it will serve as a runway for them to dress boldly and be graded for breaking the mold. This will boost creativity in return and increase the vibe in classes.

Suho (EXO)

Koreans As Nigerians

Suho, known for being EXO’s reliable leader, screams corporate responsibility. As a lecturer, he’d stress the importance of leadership with compassion. With him, “my word is law” will never exist, and his aura will attract respect instead of fear. There will be no public humiliation for coming late to classes, and good leadership will be a trait infused in the course automatically without crushing their souls.

S.Coups (SEVENTEEN)

Koreans As Nigerians

It’s not an easy feat managing 13 members, so he’d thrive as a lecturer specializing in teamwork and project management. Nigerian lecturers often dump group projects on students and disappear until submission day; S.Coups, on the other hand, would guide students in real time, balancing responsibilities and making sure no one free-rides. His lifestyle of teamwork and balance would leave students ready for the corporate world.

Taeyong (NCT)

Koreans As Nigerians

Performing Arts will be perfect for Taeyong, who brings futuristic vibes everywhere. His lecture will be full of TED talks and performances, inspiring students to think outside the box. Nigerian lecturers often insist “this is how it has always been,” but Taeyong would change that by saying, “this is how it could be.”

Solar (MAMAMOO)

As the powerhouse leader of MAMAMOO, Solar would absolutely do well in a Communication Studies course. Her main point in all classes is telling students never to shrink themselves and speak up. Nigerian lecturers often terrify students into silence, but Solar would clap for anyone brave enough to voice their opinion. By the end of her class, even the shyest student would be giving presentations effortlessly.

With these changes, universities will be a place full of vibrancy and inspiration instead of anxiety-filled halls. It wouldn’t be a life of handouts, sarcastic remarks for asking questions, and locking students out of class. Discipline will be mixed with creativity and mentorship instead, and an education that actually prepares them for real life.

Who wouldn’t want to trade “attendance marks or nothing” for a class with RM or Solar after all? Which class would you be attending as a student?
