Am I the only one who turns to K-dramas when Iâm trying to escape reality?
I guess the answer is âNOâ. Weâre in this together, right?
One of the many reasons I canât get tired of K-dramas is the fact that they give a special type of relief from any emotions through different genres. From romantic to mysteries, from thrillers to comic reliefs, just name it!
Before you say I have done nothing for you this year, if youâre ever in need of a good laugh or you need K-dramas that give the best comic relief, Iâll recommend these K-dramas, and add them to the portfolio of things I have done for you this year.
We have a lot, but Iâm making a random pick, so here we go.
You need to see me having another round of laughter before writing this. Welcome to Waikiki is taking the first place on this list because it deserves it. Welcome to Waikiki serves premium laughs throughout its episodes both in the first season and the second one. Especially in the first season, there is never a dull moment with the three brothers. Watch this if you have not, and bring my âThank youâ in the comments
Mr. Queen is another series you donât want to miss. With every one of Queen Cheorinâs scenes, you find yourself laughing uncontrollably. The most hilarious scene for me was when she was trying to woo the Kingâs concubine in a womanâs body. Queen Cheorin, who does that?
If there is any other word that best describes and exaggerates the words âfunny and hilariousâ, then thatâs what I will use in describing this series. The fact that it had both tense and funny scenes made it more interesting. The funniest part was when he influenced the other nun and younger priest with his angry spirit. Finally, I loved the fact that the cast understood the assignment and knew when to make us serious and when to crack our ribs.
Kill Me Heal Me has to be another one of the most hilarious K-dramas in history, and this is expected because the main lead has 6 other personalities apart from his real self. What happens when a grown man acts like a 17-year-old girl who loves idols?
Except for the scenes that depicted the psychopathic nature of the villain in this series, all other scenes will leave you smiling and even laughing as loud as you can. This is because the male lead is either performing one miracle after another, the mother is at the edge of breaking everyoneâs head; the grandmother is beating people up, or the two male leads are busy with their rivalry. You just canât get enough.
Is there any other K-drama bromance as good as this? Sign me up. This K-drama is H-I-LA-R-I-O-U-S because the fight for dominance between Goblin Oppa and Grim Reaper Oppa never ends. Letâs not talk about the constant way the female lead kept inviting Goblin Oppa with her matches. That was definitely frustrating.
The comic relief in this K-drama seems to be underrated. Have you seen the way the male lead was cursing in the Italian language? It sounds so funny. Also, letâs give the good people of the plaza their accolades. There are no dull moments with them, including the female lead who switches moods easily.
Although all these K-dramas have their original plot respectively, the comic relief they give is second to none.
So if youâve not watched these K-dramas, just know you are missing out, and if you have watched them, which other K-drama fits into this list for you?
