No doubt, April came with a mix of awesome dramas, from romance to thriller and fantasy. May is rolling in with many romantic dramas to warm up our hearts like the spring season that comes with it.

Below is the list of K-dramas airing in May 2025:

Our Unwritten Seoul

Set to air on May 24, Park Bo Young plays identical twin sisters who are different in every other thing except for their appearance. Yoo Mi Ji, the younger twin, quit her promising track and field athlete career only to live on a freewheel. At the same time, her older sister, Yoo Mi Rae, is a perfectionist working at a government-owned company. They start to swap their lives and encounter Lee Ho Su (Jin Young), who is a lawyer working for a large law firm. He's carefree but works hard while carrying a past wound that changed his life. Their encounters lead to the trio discovering their true selves.

Park Bo Young has never delivered anything short of excellent. It's exciting to see her picking up the role of a twin. Jin Young's charisma assures us that the drama is packed with everything worthy and entertaining.

Spring of Youth

A teen drama to grace our screen after a while. Sa Kye is a vocalist and guitarist for the most popular K-pop band, The Crown. Getting kicked out overnight, he becomes a student at Hanju University, where he experiences situations he has never experienced before. There, he meets Kim Bom, a music student who wanted to study at an Ivy League university in the U.S. but gave up on the dream due to her mother's death six years ago. Romance blooms between them, and he ends up forming a band club with her and the other three students.

The drama is set to air May 6 on SBS with Ha Yoo Joon playing the role of Sa Kye and the fun fact? He's a real-life band member of AxMxP.  

Good Boy

This drama will rock our JTBC screen on May 31 with action, comedy, and a sprinkle of police fun. Park Bo Gum is coming back to our screen after "When Life Gives You Tangerines" in March. Here, he plays Yoon Dong Joo, an Olympic boxing gold medalist navigating the hardships of life. Due to this career, he gets a second life as a police officer.

Another Olympic shooting gold medalist, Ji Han Na, who is called the shooting goddess, quits her shooting sport to become a police officer. The Olympic gold medalists meet and fight the world's injustice together. We are ready for some police runs with comedy layered in between; bring it on!

Tastefully Yours

Genie TV/ENA is bringing us a culinary romance drama on May 12. Kang Ha Neul plays Han Beom Woo, the successor of a large food company, and runs a fine dining restaurant in Seoul, but he isn't interested in taste. Meanwhile, Go Min Si plays Mo Yeon Joo, a chef who will never compromise when it comes to taste. She runs a one-table restaurant in a remote corner of a province. Life pushes them together, and they start running a small restaurant in Jeonju, grow together, and fall in love to complement each other.

Dear Hongrang

Lee Jae Wook is coming back with another traditional drama after the success of "Alchemy of Souls," and we are not ready! Netflix is set to air the drama on May 16, and the trailer already hints at so much suspense and deceit. This drama is based on the novel "Tangeum: Geumeul Samkida" (Tangeum: Swallowing Gold), which was written by Jang Da Hye.

Lee Jae Wook plays Hong Rang, the heir of a wealthy and large merchants' association in Joseon, who disappears suddenly at the age of eight. Cho Bo Ah plays Jae-Yi, his older stepsister who doesn't relent in finding him. Meanwhile, the most powerful but arrogant member of the merchants' association has had difficulty since he disappeared. He returns after 12 years, without any memory prior to the incident, which makes Jae Yi suspect he's an impostor and get attracted to him.

The teaser breeds confusion about whether he's an impostor or not, raising the tension. Fans are already cheering on the drama and talking endlessly about how they can't wait to see Lee Jae Wook in traditional attire once again.

Second Shot at Love

Han Geum Joo, a 10-year veteran car mechanic for a top Korean automobile company, enjoys drinking alcohol. Reuniting with her first love and friend, Seo Ui Joon, played by Gong Myung, who is back in his hometown to work as a director at the public health centre and hates alcohol, they have a hard time bonding until she starts challenging herself to quit drinking.

Set to air on May 12, we can't wait to see what Gong Myung has in store for us after his last drama, "Way Back Love," which started airing last month.

Nine Puzzles

Yi Na is the only witness of the murder case of her uncle, who is everything to her, while Han Saem suspects her as the murderer. She becomes a criminal profiler after ten years and a member of the criminal analysis team at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Given her intelligence, she's the first to figure out the motive of a crime, and this brings her to reunite with Han Saem, who still has the conviction of her being the murderer. They end up working together to uncover the truth behind her uncle's murder.

It is set to air on May 21, and Kim Da Mi will be playing Yi Na. She has taken on several cold characters in the past and will also deliver perfectly this time. We are patiently waiting.

Oh My Ghost Client (Labor Attorney Noh Moo Jin)

Whenever the word "ghost" comes up in a K-drama, it's time to tuck our belts in for a hilarious ride! This drama is set to air on May 30 and tells the story of Noh Moo Jin, who is a labor attorney who gets approached by ghosts out of the blue to help them solve their labor problems.

We can be assured that it will be packed with comedy, action, and some teary scenes due to past experiences with other ghost dramas. The ghosts will surely add to the fun of the drama with their requests and relationship with the attorney.
