If K-Drama Characters Attended a Nigerian University

I have seen many people (both South Korean native students and foreign students) complain about academic life and every other stress attached to it but honestly, if you think university in South Korea is hard, just wait till your fave chaebol heir meets Nigerian public university life (a.k.a premium Wahala).
Is it the water struggle? The unpredictable strikes? The group work betrayals? (ugh don’t even get me started on that), or that you didn’t sign attendance heartbreaks?
You didn’t ask (not like you have to anyway) but let me put you on, on how your faves would cope or fail woefully in a Naija campus.
Grab your popcorn.
Lee Min Ho Would Be the Fresh Boy in Class That Nobody Rates
Lee Min Ho would step into class with his designer bag and shades, thinking he’s him. But Naija students? (in a public university?) we don’t send you. Bro thinks he can intimidate people with Gucci meanwhile somebody beside him is wearing thrifted joggers and still topping the class. By second semester, he’s already sitting in the back row, confused about GST assignments and the carryover he didn’t see coming because, sir, it’s only hard work here and your NEPO money can’t help you out.
Seo Yea-ji Would Have Beef With All Her Roommates
Seo Yea-ji in a Nigerian hostel? Trouble oozing from the air conditions. Sis is fighting over the kitchen stove, locking bathroom doors during rush hour, and dragging roommates that use her sponge. You know that one girl that always has wahala and thinks everyone is below her spiritual frequency? Yeah. That’s Moon-young in Queen Amina Hostel Block C, Room 42.
Park Seo-joon Would Be the Course Rep Who’s Always Stressed
Just imagine Park Seo-joon as a Nigerian course rep. The one always shouting in class “please if you haven’t submitted your assignment, don’t disturb me later o!” or “sign this attendance sheet and pass it round!” He’s always on the verge of tears because the class group chat is just memes and nobody reads instructions. And guess what? The same people that ignored his messages will still beg him the day before exam or change it for him. Na who send am?
Yoo In-na Would Be That One Girl That Lecturers Magically Like
You know that fine babe that somehow gets away with everything? That’s Yoo In-na
Were you late for class? "Oh, sit down, no problem." You didn’t submit a project? “You can still turn it in next week.” And the rest of the class is just there in shock, forming an unofficial WhatsApp group with questions like “Why Is She Favoured?” How about you go ask the Dean of student affairs?
The Squad from Twenty-Five Twenty-One Would Be Regular Faces at Night Class
These ones? They’ll be forming ‘serious student crew,’ drinking Lipton or coffee and cabin biscuits at night class, holding hands and reading like it’s a K-Drama montage. But one person will sleep off, another will be scrolling TikTok, and some will be fighting with someone who tried to jump the queue at the photocopy stand.
Song Kang Would Be the Fine Boy That Brings You Nothing But Stress
Na fine boy, yes, but he’ll ghost you after helping him photocopy all your lecture notes. You’ll be carrying his bag to class, helping him submit attendance, then he’ll sit beside another girl during the test. Boom! You’re heartbroken, and your crush on him is crushed.
Nigerian (public) university life will test your mental health, your spiritual calling, your relationships, and your GPA. I promise, but at least you will have a story to tell at the end of the day.
As someone who has been in a Nigerian university, which K-Drama character do you think wouldn't last just ONE SEMESTER in your school?
