K-Dramas That Broke the Internet in 2025

K-Dramas That Broke the Internet in 2025 - featured image

Someone said 2025 might be the worst year for K-dramas, and honestly, I couldn't agree more, but again, we come back to that at the end of the year.

However, every year, a few K-dramas don’t just trend; they dominate online, and 2025 wasn’t any different.

So if you are someone who prefers trending dramas over personal research picks. Here are 5 K-dramas you should see.

Law and the City

Interesting Kdramas To Watch

If you thought legal dramas couldn’t be fun, Law and the City said, “Hold my case file.” The series follows five rookie lawyers navigating their first year in Seoul’s high-pressure, judicial district, Seocho. Between chasing justice, personal rivalries, and office politics, the show balanced moral questions with humor and heart.

Did it trend? Yes, because according to CJ ENM’s 2025 streaming report, this series cracked the Top 5 most-watched K-dramas on Viki across 144 countries. Even Korean Twitter was not left out. The hashtags and the fan energy are everything you need to see before watching this. Personally, I will say it didn’t fall short.

The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

Interesting Kdramas To Watch

This drama made everyone respect emergency doctors again because whhhaatttt!!!. The Trauma Code is the story of Cha Tae-hyun, a trauma surgeon who returns to his old hospital to rebuild its trauma center from scratch, alongside paramedics, nurses, and surgeons, each with their own battle scars.

The drama quickly became one of tvN’s highest-rated weekday dramas of 2025, also making Netflix’s Top 100 global chart after just two weeks. It felt like the Korean version of “Grey's Anatomy.”

Our Unwritten Seoul

Interesting Kdramas To Watch

Our Unwritten Seoul tells the story of identical twins Yoo Mi-ji and Yoo Mi-rae, two women who couldn’t be more different. Mi-ji used to be a promising sprinter, but after an injury, she quit sports and settled into a chill, unplanned life in the countryside, caring for her grandmother. Mi-rae, on the other hand, is a perfectionist working at a public corporation in Seoul. When Mi-ji learns that her sister is being bullied at work, she suggests they swap lives for a few months. Because what could possibly go wrong, right? Everything.

The series became tvN’s highest-rated weekend drama ever, and even surpassed Resident Playbook that we all loved so much. It also dominated Netflix’s non-English Top 10, ranking third globally during its debut week. This series lived rent-free in my head.

When Life Gives You Tangerines

Interesting Kdramas To Watch

So many tears! When Life Gives You Tangerines is a nostalgic romance set in Jeju Island, following the lives of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik from their youth in the 1950s to their present-day reunion. The show captures love, loss, and growing old with someone you never stopped caring for.

Not just for its cast but its amazing storyline, it became tvN’s highest-rated weekend drama within the first three weeks and dominated TikTok with its scenic shots and emotional quotes.

Bon Appétit, Your Majesty

Interesting Kdramas To Watch

There is no way you've not heard of this one. Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, is a historical fantasy romance where a modern French chef gets transported to the Joseon era. And when it’s a time-travel drama, you already know it’s going to be so much fun.

Within just a few episodes, it blew up. The fourth episode hit double-digit ratings (11.1%), and by its sixth episode, it was pushing 15% nationwide. This drama became the highest-rated tvN drama of 2025. I loved the romance and fantasy plot twist, too.

I know I keep talking about how 2025 K-dramas are below par, but if you’ve not seen these ones, don’t judge yet.
