The ink drips smartly over here. Let me take you through the world of my imagination while riding on the letters😎 It's all fun in this corner.
It’s no news that every month comes to our screens with its own share of fabulous K-dramas. These K-dramas are anticipated by the fans either for their plots or casts. February is not left out, and it has a wide range of genres to suit every taste.
Here are the KDramas we are super excited about for this February:
Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers
Nothing feels as warm and cozy as watching a relatable family drama and this drama feels like one. This family-based drama is set to air on Saturdays and Sundays from February 1, 2025, sort of like a new month gift. It features cast members like Uhm Ji Won, Ahn Jae Wook, Lee Pil Mo, Choi Dae Chul, Kim Dong Wan, Yoon Park, and Lee Seok Gi.
The drama centers on a woman who lost her husband and stepped into a challenging caretaker role for his five younger brothers. They all run the family business, Eagle Brewery while dealing with other things. It’s a drama that has promised heartwarming family moments laced with humor and touching moments.
Family is an important aspect of society; these dramas point out several relationships, obstacles, and scenarios so we can also relate with them and apply some solutions we find in them to our reality. We are definitely excited for this one!
Kick Kick Kick Kick
To a large extent, KDrama has hacked the office comedy formula. So we have no doubts that this office comedy-drama, set to air on Wednesdays and Thursdays from February 5, 2025, will be a fun ride for us.
The drama features a former star actor and a retired entertainment producer who partner up to run a production company. Chaotic clients, unpredictable staff, and clashing personalities are the focus of the drama and its hilarious points.
K-dramas with the struggles of building a company from the ground are usually so funny and relatable, with the several personalities coming together to put in their best, albeit clumsily. We are sure to get a whole lot of laughs with this drama; it will surely be a good watch.
The Scandal of Chunhwa
Set to begin airing on February 6, 2025, the historical romance drama will feature Go Ara and Chang Ryul. This is Go Ara’s first drama since Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol (2020).
It is set in the Joseon era and tells the story of a bold and spirited young princess who refuses to marry the man her father has chosen for her. She embarks on a journey to find her true love and the person who painted her face as the main character in an erotic painting series. She meets Chang Ryul, who is the first on her potential suitors’ list. He’s wealthy and handsome, but he holds a lot of secrets.
Disobedience to the throne, forbidden erotic illustrations, and the good 'ol wealthy woman-common man combination? Well color me intrigued. We definitely can't wait to see how our princess will navigate ignoring the throne's commands on he journey to finding love. Again, super intrigued by this one!
Newtopia
This is a fantasy romance set to begin airing on February 7, 2025. It will feature Park Jeong Min and Jisoo (Blackpink) as the main cast.
Another zombie apocalypse drama is coming to our screen and brings the reunion of a young couple after years of separation. The fight for survival rekindled their love and addressed the exact situations that tore them apart in the first place.
Jisoo is in your area in this blend of romance, action, and eerie zombie encounters. From the trailers we've seen, we already know this is a good way to keep us glued to our seats.
Buried Hearts
This year’s Valentine is coming with a gift box of a political thriller revenge drama. Park Hyung Sik, Huh Joon Ho, and Hong Hwa Yeon will deliver action on our screens on February 14th.
A man stumbles upon a shocking two-trillion-won political slush fund and becomes the target of a sinister conspiracy. He works in the chairman secretary's office at Daesan Group but hides his ambition to consume the entire group.
The game of survival, the pain of betrayal, and the realization of hidden secrets make the drama a must-watch. A perfect way to wrap up Valentine’s Day with a glass of wine and crunchy cookies.
My Dearest Nemesis
Moon Ga Young, Choi Hyun Wook, Im Semi, and Kwak Si Young are cast in the romance drama that is scheduled to air on February 17, 2025.
Two former online gaming rivals find themselves as boss and employee in real life after sixteen years, and this rivalry continues as old feelings and unresolved emotions resurface, leading to unexpected romance. At first read, the plot for this show felt very 'Love 020-esque' and my curiosity was immediately piqued. The enemies to lovers’ trope fans will surely have something to feast on in this drama, and guess what? I am one of them!
Undercover High School
After his demotion, Seo Kang Joon will be going back to high school as an undercover NIS agent to track down gold bars from Emperor Gojong’s era, rumored to be hidden on the school grounds. With his sharp skills and unorthodox methods, he gets pulled into the world of teenage drama. He also meets a contract Korean history teacher with a strong affection for her students who begins to see her first love in him. These entangled webs bring more twists to the drama.
The drama is packed with action and comedy and is set to air on February 21, 2025. With the rich cast and plot, it will surely be a good pick for your K-drama watch list. I know it's already on mine.
Your Taste
Kang Haneul, Go Min Si, Kim Shin Rok, and Yoo Su Bin will grace our screen with a romantic comedy-drama in February 2025. We will be diving into the world of two chefs with wildly different cooking styles and philosophies (one is crazy about taste while the other doesn’t give two cents), who are forced to run a small restaurant together. Their clashes, hilarious kitchen disasters, and unity will definitely be intriguing. They may join the list of chefs who bring the fun to our screens; watch out.
This month brings a variety of stories, from action-packed thrillers to romantic comedies and touching family dramas. Whether you’re in the mood for laughter, tears, or edge-of-your-seat suspense, February’s K-dramas have something for everyone. What are you most excited to watch?
