So if you are not in the know, here's a list of idols who made a solo debut in the early days of 2024.
Park Hae-Young (wYte)
Park Hae Young is a former member of the girl group A. De. She made her K-pop debut in 2016 and joined a new agency in December 2023. She made her solo debut with a digital single âWhiteâ on January 4 under a new agency âNUPLAYâ and took a new stage name wYte.
JD1
Without prior membership in any K-pop group, JD1 made his solo debut on January 11.
He is signed to the entertainment agency âPLAY Entertainment.â His solo debut was a single album titled âWho am Iâ
Lee Hoe Taek / Hui
Lee Hoe Taek, also known as Hui, is a member and leader of the boy group âPentagon.â
On January 16, under the âCUBEâ entertainment agency, he made his solo debut with a mini album titled âWhu is me: Complexâ
Gyunbin
Just like JD1, Gyunbin made her entrance into the K-pop world with a solo debut.
She released a pre-debut single in 2023 and released her solo debut single, titled âReally Like Youâ on January 17 under Live Work company.
Kim Hyun-Jung / Seola
Kim Hyun-jung, known by her stage name Seola, is a member of the girl group WJSN.
She is the first to make a solo debut in her group. This she did on January 2023 with a single album âInside Outâ
Cha Eun Woo
Idol Cha Eun Wooâs solo debut might be the most anticipated solo debut of the year. Of course, that is because of his rising popularity as a member of the boy band Astro.
On February 15, Cha Eun Woo released his extended play (EP) âEntityâ with the lead track âStayâ
Cha Eun Woo is currently with the âFantagioâ label.
Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul / Ten
Ten is a Thai and multilingual member of the NCT boy band group under the label âSM Entertainment.â
He made his solo debut with his eponymous extended play in February 2024.
