The Korea International Tourism Show (KITS) is one of South Korea’s biggest events for travel professionals and fans. It usually takes place in July at KINTEX in Goyang-si, just outside Seoul. This special show brings together travel agents, tour operators, hotels, and tourism boards from Korea and other countries for the same purpose.

KITS has grown over the years to become a key event in Asia’s tourism calendar. Past editions welcomed over 500 exhibitors and around 50,000 visitors worldwide. The show offers a marketplace where professionals showcase tour packages, travel trends, and new attractions. It’s not just for businesses since public days allow travelers to learn about the best travel experiences available in Korea and beyond.

Benefits of KITS over the Years

Boosted Korea’s tourism image: By combining foreign visits, outbound (Koreans visiting other countries), and domestic tourism, KITS promotes Korea’s travel industry as complete and connected so both their citizens and guests can enjoy the maximum fun of other countries and their countries at a discounted rate, respectively.

Strengthened global ties: The show includes official seminars, country booths, cultural performances, and “B2B travel marts” where exhibitors meet buyers face-to-face. They get to improve their network, draft better contracts, and establish stronger connections.

Offered special events: Visitors enjoy stage events, board games, local food stalls, and travel library booths. This mix makes the show fun and educational. South Koreans are really good at giving the best experience and believe only if these people enjoy the experiences firsthand can they extend it to others.

Expectations for 2025

Korea International Tourism Show

This year’s KITS is expected from July 18–21, 2025, at KINTEX in Goyang-si. Organizers plan a bigger and better show with over 500 exhibitors (from Korea and more than 40 countries), 50,000 visitors (both trade professionals and the public), More B2B matchmaking, networking, and travel seminars.

This year’s focus will include sustainable tourism, digital travel solutions, cultural experiences, and post-COVID travel trends.

Why You Should/Can Attend

Korea International Tourism Show

You can enjoy the event if you fall into any of the following categories:

Travel professionals: You will gain insights into new travel deals, meet international partners, and learn about trends in ecotourism, wellness, and K-culture.

General travelers: You can discover new destinations, book tour experiences, and enjoy cultural performances.

Korea’s tourism planners: You can showcase your cities and attractions to a global audience, helping spread travel more evenly across the country.

The Korea Tourism Organization and the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism support KITS to help reach rising tourism goals. South Korea wants to attract more visitors, especially from China, Japan, Southeast Asia, India, and North America, with easy visa rules and travel campaigns.

Events like KITS connect tourism power (the Korean Wave, eco-friendly travel, cultural festivals) to real travel growth. Visitors can also learn about visa-free entry for Chinese visitors and understand how Korea becomes more open for tourists.

The Korea International Tourism Show 2025 is set to deliver a large platform for the travel world, full of new ideas, inspiring talks, and lovely cultural events. Whether you are a tour agent or someone who loves travel, KITS is the best place to learn, meet, and plan your next big trip.
