The ink drips smartly over here. Let me take you through the world of my imagination while riding on the letters😎 It's all fun in this corner.
We open episode 12 with the continuation of the last scene from episode 11. It’s been a long ride, and we are finally in the last episode of the drama.
Han Deul sets the table for them with her mom’s side dishes, and he gushes about the deliciousness. Whereas, Ah Young meets up with Woong Shik in the park with her adorable, finally! She’s putting on the ring in the sonogamy set. He notices it as she strokes the dog before telling him to try walking him, stating that if they are a match, she will allow him to walk the dog once in a while. Awnn! The dog suddenly stops after a while, scaring him, and she checks her phone app to see that it’s his workout limit... a sneaky ad, innit?
Back to our ajhussi, he’s really keeping his promise as he follows his wife to grocery shopping and almost gets his shoulders off his body with the heavy load. As his wife tries to help him, an old couple passes, and the husband is carrying way more than the things in his hands, making him carry the load regardless of the pain. Haha!
Woong Shik finally compliments the ring on her finger, and she tells him about the blind date gift she has for him, wiping off his smile. He declines and leaves, but she blocks him and makes a new introduction of herself, listing out the things she admires about him. She tells him marriage is off the table, and he takes her hand in agreement, stating only their happiness matters as they grin happily. Yaaay!
Our couple has done another house swap, each to their own apartment this time around, and Han Deul packs the food in his fridge since she doesn’t have one. Just then, Dae Bok calls in that the rejected cases are now off their list, thanks to Ajhussi and his wife signing up. It turns out his wife holds him hostage with the promise to be 1% better daily, and thinks about his personality in their younger days. The striving for a better life is the reason for the distance between them, and since he’s trying to make it up, she doesn’t have any reason to be hard on him anymore.
He thanks Ki Jun for telling him that if he looks back, he will find the answer because they both have their answers now. Our diligent junior, Chang Hee, also signs up for the insurance with his fiancée on an emotional but hilarious date. Ah Young bickers playfully with Jeon Man for calling Dae Bok an old man, and Na Rae walks in to call them for a meeting.
It turns out the official and his wife’s divorce article is up online, and it’s a source of concern for the higher-ups. Aigoo, these higher-ups! It’s now the stumbling block to their launching, so they have to find a way to resolve it.
Jeon Man submits a file to Na Rae in her office, and she asks him out for a movie night. He agrees immediately, calling Ki Jun to the rooftop, that he needs the number one, which is the friend option now. He tells him about the overseas offer and his intention to go, but Ki Jun blasts him for always prioritizing safety even in a nearby market. Surprisingly, he tells him to go if Na Rae is the one making the offer and not to worry about him as long as he won’t regret it, and they will be happy together. Jeon Man says he will give her the answer after the divorce insurance’s launch, playing it safe once again.
Back at the office, Dae Bok is thinking of a gift for his wife. Ah Young and Han Deul tell him a gift is only meaningful when it’s thoughtful, as they help him find the perfect gift on his wife’s social media post. Ajhussi brings a flower bouquet home and assists with folding the laundry, earning another point with his wife. She scolds him to take it easy since it’s 1% per day, so he doesn’t get sick by doing everything at once.
Meanwhile, Na Rae takes Jeon Man to his house for the movie and claims the movie at home is best because they get the front-row seat. The tension shoots up in the room with Jeon Man focusing on the movie while she keeps glancing at him, trying to spark a romantic moment. The movie sparks an idea in Jeon Man, making him pack up the snacks and wine, to her confusion, and chase her out because he wants to work.
Ki Jun ponders things in the park before Han Deul shows up. He complains of having no insight, and she suggests getting ice cream first to wake up their brains before thinking together. Fishing one out of her pocket, she splits it into two, but it breaks unevenly, and he takes the smaller part while laughing. She tells him about her parents' acceptance of her divorce now and her self-reflection on facing things head-on, as she’s the center of it all. That sparks the solution of self-care in his head, and he delivers it to the team the next day at work.
He explains that self-care means going back to the starting point and also putting their partners into consideration since they are a part of them, which can be a turning point for their relationships, for them to summon courage for doing better or getting a divorce. Immediately, they all get busy with the review for days. Finally, the FSS approves the product, and they proceed to the executive signing the launch proposal.
Na Rae walks into the company with everyone buzzing about the launch announcement and announces the disbanding of the task force, making them sad. She suggests a dissolution ceremony, and Ah Young picks the ocean as the location. The team successfully pulls Dae Bok into a fried chicken dinner, and he calls his wife not to make dinner because he will bring some over for her, making the team praise him.
Back at home, Dae Bok asks his wife where she wants to go, but she dismisses it until he places a flight itinerary to Helsinki, where they will see the Northern Star in her hand. He tells her to consider it as their second honeymoon, and the gesture touches her so much. They leave the next day while the team goes to the beach to have a good time, taking pictures and video calling Dae Bok.
Han Deul picks up a seashell, and Na Rae admires it with her. It’s strange to her that she enjoys such things, and Na Rae explains how she now sees the little things of the world after spending time with the team. She tells her about going back to Singapore right after the launch, and they have a small, hearty talk about their time in the team.
Meanwhile, Ki Jun scolds Jeon Man in the car for still not giving Na Rae his answer and how anxious she will be. He asks if Ki Jun is not sad, but he slams him with “I’m not your girlfriend, and friends just need to know you are doing fine.” haha!
They end the day with a team dinner with Woong Shik present, and he congratulates them on a job well done. He asks how their timing to the village matches the planting season when he will be present, and they all eye Ah Young. It turns out the village they are in for the dissolution ceremony is the same place where he’s the village head. Jeon Man asks what’s going on between them when Ah Young puts food on Woong Shik’s plate. She tells him they are figuring it out, and he doesn’t have to know everything because he just keeps pouring questions in.
Jeon Man drops the info about Na Rae leaving, earning him a water spit from Ah Young. Na Rae tells them to come visit when they can, with all the bills on her. She tells Jeon Man not to come if he doesn’t want to, of course, pettily, and Ki Jun signals to him to say it now. Ah Young calls Na Rae her super cool role model, asking if she can call her eonnie from now on. She goes silent, and they all think she’s angry until she voices out her approval, saying it feels nice, to their relief.
Ki Jun pulls Han Deul out for some fresh air, giving Jeon Man another opportunity because Woong Shik and Ah Young are no longer at the table. We are back to Ajhussi and his wife gushing about the pretty Northern Lights in Helsinki, and the wife explaining its importance of it being a shield. She tells him to be her Northern light till they die, and he holds her hands in happiness as they rest on each other’s shoulders.
Na Rae sleeps off before Jeon Man can tell her his decision. At the other end, Ki Jun asks Han Deul’s tarot question once again. She reveals asking if it’s possible to meet her twin flame, the other part of her soul, which will lead to another chapter beyond romance. Saying how she sees the future call to herself is a sign that she knows her twin flame, she admits, and we get taken back to him, saying his future self should remember that day. He confesses to knowing she’s the one since the supermarket scene, way before their work time or mattress scene, and proceeds to kiss her.
Finally, the launch day is here, and the team dresses in their best outfits for the dramatic entrance. Dae Bok screams to announce their first contract from the CEO’s daughter, who is the main clause of the insurance, scoring a huge point with the CEO.
Meanwhile, Na Rae heads for the departure at the airport, promising to visit the CEO once she comes back to Korea. She looks back in hope for the last time, but Jeon Man is not in sight. She takes another look to see him rushing towards her with his suitcase, where the ripped doll is, and she bursts into a huge smile before asking if he enjoys making a big fool out of her. He apologizes for not finding the right timing to tell her, and she leaps to kiss him happily, shutting him up.
She tells him they will live separately in Singapore since they need their personal space, and he’s on board. Turning to continue the walk, he pulls her back and dives in for a deeper kiss this time around. Ohh Jeeooonn Mannnn is not playing it safe anymore!!!
As time passes, the ads for divorce insurance are blowing up everywhere, making people sign up. Ki Jun and Han Deul go on a date in knitted couple sweaters, and she praises him for making a good one in his first trial. They talk about their emotions on the project and how she’s looking for more. He asks if the pride insurance dream is valid; she responds with a yes, and he pushes her to make it a reality with him by her side. She takes the push, and they continue walking with their hands around each other.
She asks about Jeon Man and Na Rae, calling her Eonnie to his surprise. He tells her Jeon Man doesn’t like going into details, but they are doing fine. Asking when they will stop speaking formally, they switch tones as they walk farther into the distance, and we get the behind-the-scenes of the AI underwriting session. This time, they all answer proudly with another view of life.
Dae Bok clears his table before Ki Jun rushes him to beg him for another last hit project, the pride insurance. Ajhussi slaps his cheeks as he screams a hilarious NO because it’s a tempting offer, and the curtain gets drawn with Ki Jun’s cute wink.
Yaaay! Finally! The journey has finally ended, and the series has taken us through several situations of relationships and how they can be managed. Personally, I learned a lot about self-reflection, being considerate, and looking back to find answers. A big applause to the entire team and cast. It was a good one!
