Yoo In Soo, born March 25, 1998 in Cheonan, South Korea, is an actor who often plays villainous or bullying characters. He is best known for his chilling performance in All of Us Are Dead, and fans love him for his strong bad‑boy screen presence and his twisty characters that surely get on their nerves.
Yoon Gwi Nam in All of Us Are Dead
In this 2022 Netflix zombie drama, he played Yoon Gwi Nam, a cruel high‑school bully turned zombie. He attacked other students, fought violently, and scared everyone. His acting made people feel real fear. While shooting, even when his character had one eye after an injury, he practiced acting with one eye to make it work. His performance was so good that many fans said, “Yoo In Soo, hands down... has a special talent.”
Lee Kang Ko in Strong Woman Do Bong Soon
Even before that big role, he played many bad boy characters. In Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (2017), he was a rough student who teased the heroine when she caught him bullying his classmate in an alley with his gang members. He got his shoes ripped off his feet after she tied the lace over his legs painfully, and that got others scared.
In School 2017 and My ID Is Gangnam Beauty, he was also a bully-type student who caused trouble for others non-stop. These roles gave him a reputation for playing fierce and bad characters well, and he still does them to this day.
He also joined the dark world of Avengers Social Club and Sweet Revenge in 2017, where he played a mean and scary youth. Even in these minor roles, he showed that he could be a believable friend, enemy, or threat. He also made a cameo as one of the bad students in Study Group as a mini reunion with Hwang Min Hyun after they co-starred in Alchemy of Souls.
However, despite this reputation, he does not only act as a villain. In Alchemy of Souls (2022‑2023), he played Park Dang Gu, a playful heir from a noble family in a magic‑fantasy world. His character was so charming, rich, funny, powerful yet light‑hearted. This role proved he has range and can be fun too when he’s playing the good guy.
He also appeared in The Good Bad Mother, The Uncanny Counter Season 2, Daily Dose of Sunshine, and Midnight Studio, where his roles in these shows varied from gentle to mysterious. When he acts mean, he makes it feel real. His eye movements, posture, and calm voice are so on point, and yes, he knows how to swear without making a mistake in between words.
Even while wearing one eye patch, he made the character of Gwi Nam believable and haunting. This made him stand out and showed his strong range. He can switch from villain to playful heir and ghost assistant effortlessly. He does not stay stuck in one type, and he carries the fun everywhere.
Currently, he’s doing his mandatory service in the Republic of Korea Air Force, which he started in November 2024. He chose to serve despite career pressure and said he wants to use that time to grow. We all love both his villain energy and fluffy heart, and we can’t wait to see more of him on the screen when he’s finally discharged.
