Life Lessons You Missed From "King The Land"

“You’ll fall in love with Korean content forever,”

That was the cliche line I used on my ever-busy friend to lure her into watching ‘King The Land’ K-Drama, and Yes! It worked.

She finally accepted that K-dramas are worth the hype they get and we can’t agree more since even non-Korean enthusiasts can now attest to it.

I finally had a chance to rant all I want about how cool K-dramas are. I went on and on about the eye-catching things in K-Drama like the hot male leads, food culture, and near-perfection acting, and of course, I didn’t leave out the educating parts that included life lessons.

One thing that kept her attention with me was the life lessons I could pinpoint from the Kdrama ‘King The Land.’

And of course, I thought to share it with you, my Hallyu partner. So here we go;

No One Is A Friend Or Foe Forever

Since Goo Won and Cheon Sa-rang met in one of the most annoying ways to meet a person, no one would have expected the flower of love to bloom between them.

Also, Goo won and his half-sister Goo Hwa-ran had to bury the hatchet in the end.

True Love Has A Space Everywhere

The success of the love between Goo Won and Sa-rang was almost impossible because everything was working against them, but in the end, their true love won. On the other hand, Sa-rang’s friend Oh Pyung-hwa was also scared of finding love again, she had lost all hope of finding true love until Lee Ro-woon came into her life and showed her he could love her against all odds.

The Truth Will Always Overshadow lies

With Han Mi-so (Goo Won’s mother), everyone had already bought the lie that was sold to them about her disappearance. But her appearance at the end paved the way for the truth.

Staff is King

Goo won with the help of Sa-rang, made it clear in the series that even when customers are always right, staff is king. The attitude portrayed by Goo Won and Sa-rang towards the staff in this K-Drama series, helps us to look into the importance of staff in an organization. It shows that the people in labor are to be respected since they are the pillar of the organization.

A Sincere and Forgiving Heart Conquers all

Goo Won was not one to repay evil with evil because, even though he was broken by circumstances, his heart was sincere. And he could forgive even without an apology.

Sa-rang was also quick to forgive the people who had wronged her just because they were her superior

Man’s Destination is not Final until the attainment

It had been Sa-rang’s dream since she was little to work as a hotelier and attain the highest rank possible as a staff but when she finally had a taste of the highest staff position, she realized it was not her dream to become a ‘glorified maid’ for a rich family and that birthed her new dream.

Friendship Is A Beautiful Thing

The friendship between “The six siblings” was a great one. Their friendship started with Goo Won and Noh Sang-sik (Goo Won’s secretary), Sa-rang, and her friends before it extended towards Lee Ro-woon. They had each other’s back and celebrated their victory and loss together. This signifies the importance of true friendship in the real world and how cool friendship can be.

King the Land Synopsis: King the Land tells the story of Goo Won who is the heir of the king group, a luxury hotel conglomerate, who was thrown into an inheritance war, and Cheon Sa-rang a hotelier who always has a smile on her face till she met Goo Won.

King the Land is definitely a blockbuster. Thanks to it, I just enlisted my friend into loving K-content.

And if you’ve not watched this amazing piece, take this as your cue to watch this television series and you’ll not regret it. 😍
