Kim Da Mi always finds a way to stand out because she’s not your usual K-drama sweetheart. Her roles are unforgettable because of her uniqueness. Her latest project, Nine Puzzles, proved her mysterious personality, where she played mysterious profiler Yoon E Na.

Born on April 9, 1995, she studied acting and entered the industry quietly in 2017. Her big break came just a year later with the action film The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion. Her performance as a quiet girl with shocking powers stunned audiences and critics alike, earning her multiple “Best New Actress” awards, and that film showed everyone that she wasn’t afraid of bold and challenging roles.

She then starred in Itaewon Class (2020), where she played Jo Yi Seo, a smart, bold, and sometimes chaotic business manager who helped Park Sae Ro Yi build his dream. Da-mi’s energy and confidence made her unforgettable in the series. Two years later, she returned to the small screen in Our Beloved Summer, this time showing her softer side as Yeon Su, a realistic and slightly cold lover in a warm, slow-burn romance with Choi Woong.

Now in Nine Puzzles (2025), Da Mi took a darker turn and played Yoon E Na, a talented but awkward profiler haunted by her uncle’s murder from the past. When she was a teen, she discovered his body and became both the witness and the main suspect. Ten years later, she was forced to face the same kind of case again, with strange puzzle clues linking all the cases together.
In this drama, she wasn’t the usual heroine. Her character in the drama talked fast, gestured a lot with her hands and body, and acted in ways that were hard to predict. Some viewers called her quirky; others called her strange, and that was exactly what made her so interesting to watch. She gave E Na a mix of genius and vulnerability that pulls you in. You can’t always understand her, but you can’t look away either because she pulls you in.

Her chemistry with co-star Son Suk Ku, who plays detective Kim Han Saem, kept the tension alive. The two didn’t follow a typical romantic storyline; instead, their connection was built on trust, suspicion, and their shared secrets. The mystery between them felt real and raw, making the story even more gripping.
Kim Da Mi proves her specialty by her fearless choice of roles. She doesn’t chase safe characters; she looks for parts that challenge her. Her journey has been worthwhile, from the mysterious power girl in The Witch to the clever rebel in Itaewon Class and the emotional realist in Our Beloved Summer. All these roles added a new piece to her acting board.

Off-screen, Kim Da-mi is known for being humble and soft-spoken. Her interviews show a calm, thoughtful side that fans find refreshing. She’s not flashy, but her talent shines naturally; her style is also simple and unique because she mixes comfort with creativity, much like her roles.
She carries her shows with brains and heart, making her story relatable and thrilling. From action to romance and mystery, she has done it all without losing her spark, and she’s the kind of actress who keeps audiences guessing, and that’s exactly why people can’t stop watching her. Kim Da Mi continues to be one of K-drama’s brightest and most mysterious yet intriguing stars.
