Stars Who Shone at The 2024 SBS Drama Awards

On December 21st, the 2024 SBS Drama Awards was held at the SBS Prism Tower in Seoul, South Korea. The award that celebrated the year's outstanding achievements in Korean television was hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Kim Hye Yoon, and Kim Ji Yeon.

Exceptional talents and memorable dramas throughout the year were all honored and celebrated for keeping the audiences captivated. Here is the list of the awards and their recipients.

Grand Prize (Daesang): Jang Na Ra

For her incredible role in “Good Partner,” she received the prestigious Grand Prize. This marked a significant milestone in her 23-year acting career. Playing Cha Eun Kyung, a dedicated lawyer in the drama, stole the hearts of the viewers and critics. Jang Na Ra showed her depth and versatility as an actress with this drama, so the award was well-deserved.

Drama of the Year: "Connection"

Ji Sung and the rest of the team ate with this drama. The drama snagged the Drama of the Year thanks to its amazing storyline. The plot twists were jaw-gripping, the cast delivered their roles perfectly, and the audience engagement was powerful. The series stood out for its complex plot and stellar performances, making it a favorite among viewers.

This drama also successfully produced the Best Couple. The chemistry between Park Shin Hye and Kim Jae Young, “The Judge from Hell,” was satisfying to watch. Their on-screen relationship added depth to the drama, making their pairing a standout element of the series.

Director's Award: Park Shin Hye

It’s no doubt that Park Shin Hye outdid herself this year. She earned the Director’s Award for her performance in “The Judge from Hell.” She took on the role of a judge facing moral dilemmas whose way of delivering judgment was entirely out of the law’s scope.
