Personally, I feel there’s nothing as interesting as being allowed to do what you love and are passionate about.

Although, as kids, our parents have all the deciding powers concerning whatever it is we want to do, some parents still allow their children to follow their dreams or make what I will call the best decision for their children.

Whatever the case may be, I think some K-celebrities fall into either category, and, of course, I am happy for them.

I mean, some of them had their foundations as child actors and they are doing pretty well for themselves till now, thanks to their parents, right? So here are some Korean celebrities who started their career in the entertainment industry as a child and are still active to date.

Kim Yoo Jung

Taking the lead on this list is our beloved Do Do Hee from ‘My Demon.’ Before she grew up to become a devilish and fearful heiress in that series, she was firstly a naïve little girl who played the teen role of the younger version of the female lead in the popular 2012 Sageuk ‘Moon Embracing the Sun’ and that was where she earned the love of everyone with her flawless acting. Although she debuted as a child actor at 4 in a 2003 series.

Kim Yoo Jung was born in 1999, started acting since she was four and I’ll say she has not lost her flawless touch in acting. Her recent series is enough evidence.

Kim So Hyun

Here comes the younger version of the second female lead in the same series as Kim Yoo Jung ‘Moon Embracing the Sun.’

Kim So Hyun did not debut in this series as well, instead, she had her first appearance in a 2006 series but got her major recognition after starring in the former series just like Kim Yoo Jung and even got her first leading role in the same year in a teen drama.

She was born in 1999 as well and she started at 7.

Can we just all her and Ki Yoo Jung twins? Too many similarities!

Lee Hyun Woo

Lee Hyun Woo is another child actor who started his career in 2005 at 9. He made his globally recognized appearance in the popular drama, 'To the Beautiful You and another series ‘ Secretly Greatly’ a few years later. He also debuted as a singer in 2018 and has been shuffling both careers successfully.

He was born in 1993 and he’s currently 31-years-old, although he still looks 20.

Moon Ga Young

Here comes our ‘True Beauty’ (Literally as well). Moon Ga Young was born in 1996, started as a child model in 2005, and as a child actress in 2006 at 9. She debuted in the movie ‘Blood Reunion.’ Although she took a break for a while, she returned to the screen in 2011 and got her major screen breakthrough in 2013.

She kept appearing in different series and movies and got her first lead role in a four-episode series ‘Mimi’ and has been bagging many lead roles since then, which include the wave-making series ‘True Beauty.’

Yoo Seung Ho

Born in 1993, actor Yoo Seung Ho made in drama debut in 2000 after starring in a commercial in 1999.

He moved on to take up other roles and got recognized in the movie ‘The Way Home. His first lead role was in a 2012 series 'Operation Proposal’. He has been acting since he was 7.

Filmography: I'm not a Robot, Moonshine, My Strange Hero.
