Revenge on a hot platter: K-Drama recommendation (2)

Did I say K-dramas know how to serve revenge like hot Ramyeon the last time? I found a better way to describe that. As a matter of urgency, I am telling you they serve it on a hot platter like grilled pork belly, which sounds delicious.

If you worked on watching the last revenge K-Drama recommendations I made and you want more, stick with me to the end.

Here are 5 more revenge K-dramas that will captivate you.

Eve

Synopsis: Eve tells the story of a chaebol family's ₩2 trillion divorce lawsuit that shocks the entire nation, of which, at the center of the lawsuit is Lee La-el (Seo Yea-ji), the daughter of the chaebol family who seeks vengeance against those that killed her parents when she was a child.

In this series, I signed up for a revenge Makjang drama, and I got it. It’s a revenge drama that took things to extremes with its dark scenes, but if you are the type who doesn’t mind, then you will enjoy seeing this. Although it’s like every other revenge story and it had some flaws that could have been done better, you won’t be disappointed by the cast, especially the female lead (Seo Yea-ji) who gave up the perfect characterization of her role.

  Again My Life

Synopsis: A hot-blooded prosecutor is murdered when he gets entangled in an investigation around a corrupt politician. He gets sent back in time to when he was 18 years old, and he prepares to take down his enemy.

I won't say "Again my Life" was as satisfactory as I expected it to be, however, unlike other dramas on this list, it is not so dark. The storyline is great, and it's a revenge story that is calming rather than alarming.

Taxi Driver

Synopsis: Kim Do-gi is a KMA graduate who works as a taxi driver for a company which offers a "revenge-call" service to its clients who have been wronged and helps them to exact vengeance.

Taxi Driver is a drama inspired by a series of true and traumatic events. It comprises quite some dark scenes that may be disturbing for people who can’t stand it, however; the drama shows a series of revenge tactics used for different criminals. If you are the type who loves watching series based on true events, this is for you, and you can read more about it online.

The Killing Vote

Synopsis: The series follows a mysterious figure known as Gaetal, who conducts surveys via text message to decide whether to put certain vicious criminals to death, then murders them if more than fifty percent of those who respond favor a death sentence.

Just like Taxi Driver, the killing vote is a series that depicts an organization helping people assert revenge on people who have wronged them greatly. In this series, you will find yourself doing detective work because, for every case, there is a cue to figure out most things. Also, although this is not based on true events, it is filled with suspense and is very thrilling, and you are going to love it. (PS: disturbing scenes as well).

Remarriage and Desires

Synopsis: Remarriage & Desires is a revenge drama that focuses on a woman whose husband is cheating on her. After he asks her for a divorce, he learns that his mistress embezzled money and set him up as the fall guy — and falsely accused him of sexual assault.

This series has a storyline similar to that of ‘Eve’ and ‘World of the Married’ and it’s absolutely amazing how I watched all of them and still love them because each of them had its own peculiarities. This particular series is one you might take the time to binge watch in just one sitting, even though it’s underrated. Want a revenge story twinning with romance? Sign up for this.

PS: Most of the series on this list have disturbing and dark scenes.

Revenge is best served when hot, and the ones in these series were scrum-delicious.

One thing I am sure of is that these dramas will have you thinking about the morals of our society and how we've gotten it wrong at large. Apart from the fun aspects of the series, I hope you pick your lessons.  Did you watch all the dramas in the last piece, and are you watching these?
